Marika Wille-Jais lives and works in Tyrol. Creativity has been an important part of her life since an early age, yet it was only in adulthood that it became a more conscious and profound form of personal expression. As a self-taught artist, she developed her artistic path independently, outside traditional academic training, creating a distinctive and authentic visual language of her own.

For Marika, painting is a way to give form to her inner world and to reflect on personal experiences. Her works emerge intuitively and are shaped by emotions, memories, and changing moods. Rather than focusing solely on a specific subject, her art seeks to convey a feeling, an atmosphere, or an emotional impression.

In her predominantly abstract works, Marika Wille-Jais combines various materials and techniques, with acrylic paint playing a central role.

Through successive layers, vivid compositions take shape, bringing together strong colors, delicate lines, and textured surfaces. This layered approach gives her paintings depth and movement, inviting viewers to discover new details each time they look.

Her art unfolds in the space between structure and freedom. Clear compositional elements meet spontaneous, expressive gestures, resulting in works that feel both powerful and sensitive. They offer viewers the opportunity to engage with the paintings in their own way and to form personal interpretations.
