Martine-Alison's indulgence can confess in public without feeling a certain dishonor.
She would lie down on her stomach to taste figs!... or rather she would be ready to climb the branches of a fig tree to maraud!
The nuances of mauves, greens and blacks which come alive in this last painting evoke for our artist those of these delicious fruits.
Martine-Alison sometimes wonders when she completes a work. She remembers the first and the last stroke. But when she looks at the final result, she doesn't know what happened in the meantime!
Grimaud that you can see in the distance on the right is staged.
The picturesque village of Grimaud, located in the Var in the Massif des Maures, is nestled at the foot of its feudal castle.
From the ruins of this castle, we have a very beautiful view of the village but also of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez with the lakeside town of Port-Grimaud where our artist lived for many years.
The village is magnificent. It offers us alleys, arcades, facades of flowered houses and squares full of charm.
Women are honored in the peninsula of Saint-Tropez at the Polo Club. Also, in this future painting, Martine-Alison wanted to magnify this sport with two pretty chicks!
I, Leo the toucan, am there, faithful and watching the scene, just like my feathered friend in the foreground, the European bee-eater.
This bird, similar to a rainbow when flying, is a very elegant friend. He is a summer visitor to the south of France.
I don't know if you can also see my friend Hermann's tortoise on the left!...
